Gold-tone pin features a detailed home and landscaping scene with green enamel 4-H clover emblem. Reverse is marked County Honor – Beautification of Home Grounds, identifies Mrs. Charles R. Walgreen as sponsor, and is marked 1/20 10K GF.
Weight is approximately 1.90 grams including pin hardware. Measures roughly 3/4 inch across.
Straight pin and catch are intact. Shows vintage surface wear, patina/tarnish, and some green verdigris on the reverse. Please review photos closely for condition.
This was a genuine mid-century 4-H award category sponsored by Mrs. Charles R. Walgreen; contemporary 1954 reporting specifically describes the county awards for this program as gold-filled medals.
