Ready to cook like it’s 1938? Meet this authentic **Hi-Speed Thrift Cooker** — the original set-it-and-forget-it pot made for the legendary Chambers stove Thermo-well (aka the built-in crockpot of its day)!
This 6-quart aluminum beauty drops right into the recessed, heavily insulated Thermowell on vintage Chambers ranges (Models A, B, C, and earlier). Light the burner for just 10–20 minutes, turn the gas **OFF**, and let the retained heat do the rest. Soups, stews, beans, veggies, even complete one-pot meals finish perfectly with almost no fuel used. It’s the original “cook with the gas turned off” magic that Chambers was famous for!
**Details:**
- Capacity: 6 quarts (stamped on the rim)
- Material: Heavy-gauge aluminum
- Lid: Fitted lid with original black handle and embossed “HI-SPEED THRIFT COOKER”
- Patent: U.S. Pat. No. 2127958
- Side handles for easy lifting in and out of the well
**Condition:**
Solid, usable vintage condition. Shows honest wear from decades of service — surface scratches, some interior spotting and light discoloration, and typical age marks on the exterior. No major dents, cracks, or warping. The lid sits nicely, the black handle is intact and secure, and the pot is ready to go back to work in a Chambers Thermowell (or any deep-well stove). Cleaned and ready for its next kitchen adventure!
Perfect for Chambers collectors, retro kitchen enthusiasts, or anyone who wants to experience true 1930s–1950s efficiency cooking. These original Thrift Cooker pots are getting harder to find — especially complete with lid and handle.
Grab this piece of kitchen history and start cooking the Chambers way: less gas, more flavor, zero babysitting!
