Produced from Japanese porcelain and decorated in Hong Kong by A.C.F., the jar features intricate Rose Medallion–style scenes filled with court figures, flowers, fruit, birds and butterflies. Soft pink, green, yellow and coral enamels are accented with touches of gold, creating an ornate look that changes as the jar is turned.
The coordinating domed lid is decorated with an additional figural scene. A red circular A.C.F. maker’s mark reading “Japanese Porcelain Ware—Decorated in Hong Kong” appears on the underside.
