American Eagle Airlines was a massive regional network system headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, that primarily served the North American, Caribbean, and regional United States markets, feeding high-volume passenger traffic directly into parent carrier American Airlines' primary mega-hubs like Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Chicago O'Hare (ORD), and Miami (MIA). Formed in 1984 as a unified brand network combining multiple independent commuter carriers (such as Metroflight, Simmons Airlines, and Executive Airlines), the consolidated system legally rebranded its corporate operating name to Envoy Air in 2014 to distinguish itself from the broader marketing banner that still serves American Airlines today. Throughout its historic twentieth-century operations, American Eagle operated an immense and highly diverse fleet of turboprop and pioneering regional jet aircraft engineered for rapid short-haul city pairs, most prominently flying the Saab 340, the ATR 42 / ATR 72, and the Embraer ERJ-135 / ERJ-145 family.

These wings came from NASA associate Director Daniel Nebrig’s estate and will Include a copy of the provenance card that the family and estate company made for these historic pieces.
