Vintage augite (pyroxene) mineral specimen from the Vernon, New Jersey area approximately 12 miles NNE of Franklin, NJ, accompanied by an older collector/dealer label from Caspersons in Micco, Sebastian, Florida.
This cabinet-sized specimen features dark lustrous pyroxene crystals scattered through a sparkling matrix with honey-gold bladed crystal growth and drusy associations throughout. Attractive multi-angle display with excellent texture and sparkle under light.
A nice old-school locality piece from the famous Franklin district region known for complex mineral assemblages.
