Vintage Made in Austria Oversized Glass Christmas Ornament – Multicolor Striped Mica – Approx. 4”
Beautiful and unusual vintage Austrian blown-glass Christmas ornament measuring approximately 4 inches.
The ornament features a striking striped/paneled design in red/pink, green, gold, silver and white, with dark textured mica/glitter accents outlining the colored sections. The decoration radiates around the ornament and creates a particularly attractive mid-century appearance.
The metal fitting is clearly stamped “MADE IN AUSTRIA,” providing a wonderful identifiable origin for this vintage European ornament.
At approximately 4”, this is a substantial oversized ornament with excellent display presence and would make a distinctive addition to a collection of vintage Austrian, European or mid-century Christmas glass.

CONDITION
Pre-owned vintage condition with substantial age-related wear and patina.
There is visible finish and silvering loss, paint wear, surface marks/scratches, crazing to portions of the colored decoration, oxidation/discoloration and loss/wear to some of the mica/glitter decoration. These imperfections are visible in the photographs and contribute to the ornament’s authentic aged appearance.
I do not see an obvious crack or break in the glass in the photographs provided. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they are considered part of the condition description.
Despite the cosmetic wear, this remains a beautiful and unusual vintage Austrian ornament with striking colors, impressive size and wonderful old-world character.
