For sale is a RARE vintage BWIA (British West Indian Airways) set of six airline drinking glasses, complete with the period BWIA cardboard storage/shipping box. Shipped from a clean and smoke free home. Thanks for looking!!
Each clear glass features the classic white BWIA jet/arrow logo. The original box is printed in turquoise with the vintage BWIA logo and the slogan:
“BWIA – THE AIRLINE OF THE CARIBBEAN”
Based on the BWIA branding and presentation, these appear to be vintage airline-issued/service glassware rather than modern reproductions or generic souvenir pieces. The styling is consistent with BWIA’s earlier period, likely circa late 1960s–1970s.
The set includes six matching rounded tumblers/rocks glasses and the fitted corrugated cardboard dividers. Finding individual pieces of vintage airline service ware is relatively common, but finding a matching group still together with its BWIA-marked box is much more unusual.
Condition: Very good UNUSED vintage condition. Glasses appear clean with the BWIA logos well preserved. Original cardboard box shows expected age, sand handling but still in excellent condition.
A great piece of Caribbean aviation history and an unusual addition to a collection of BWIA, British West Indian Airways, Trinidad & Tobago, airline, aviation or mid-century travel memorabilia.
