An interesting tidbit. The Hebrew letters spell the word Four, Representing The Four Founders of Gamma Phi Beta—Helen M. Dodge, Frances E. Haven, E. Adeline Curtis, and Mary A. Bingham—who established the organization in 1874. The Design Integration: The letters are placed along the base of the black enamel ring to anchor the core gold crescent moon shape, which holds the pearl-studded "Phi" monogram.
