Vintage Bavarian Chalkware Figurine – Mid Century Signed Hand Painted For Sale

This beautiful vintage figurine duo comes from a late relative’s estate, (most likely my great aunt). I recall having it appraised several years ago, and my memory is that it was identified as Bavarian chalkware, a mid‑century plaster style known for its hand‑painted detail. The surface has a slightly waxy feel, which is typical of older chalkware pieces that were sealed to protect the paint. The bottom is marked “Painted by Anna,” indicating it was individually hand‑painted by an artist rather than mass‑produced. A charming and well‑preserved collectible with decades of history behind it. Would be a wonderful mantle or night stand display and conversation piece; as well as a great addition to a figurine collection or a great piece for starting one.
