Beautiful pair of vintage Chinese ceramic lidded jars with warm caramel/tan glaze and charming traditional decoration.
Each jar features a red berry/branch motif, while the opposite side depicts a traditional Chinese longevity figure with a deer. Both jars retain their original ceramic lids and old Chinese labeling.
The labels identify the original contents as 龟苓膏 (Guilinggao), a traditional Chinese herbal food associated with Wuzhou, Guangxi.
These unusual vessels are now best suited for decorative display, collecting, or vintage Asian-inspired interiors.
