Vintage Chinese Cloisonné Ginger Jar with Lid, Red Enamel Floral Brass Accents For Sale

This eye-catching cloisonné ginger jar features a rich brick-red enamel ground decorated with an elaborate floral design. Large blooms in turquoise, cobalt blue, and soft pink-and-white are surrounded by green and yellow-green foliage, all outlined in fine brass cloisons (wire). The red background is covered in a delicate, tightly worked fret (key-pattern) design that adds texture and depth.

The domed lid continues the floral theme and sits securely in a brass rim, topped with a polished brass finial. A turquoise band with a scalloped cloud-scroll border circles the shoulder of the jar, tying the whole piece together.
