Vintage Chinese Porcelain Box Mandarin Ducks Peony Qianlong Mark 7" For Sale

Oval Chinese porcelain box with a fitted lid. The lid is a cream panel worked in raised enamel and gilt: a pair of mandarin ducks among peonies and smaller blossoms. One duck is in flight. The body is black with a gold chrysanthemum ground and more raised peonies on the sides. Gilt rims.The base has a red four-character seal reading 乾隆年製 (Qianlong nian zhi) and a gold foil MADE IN CHINA sticker, still attached. That seal is an apocryphal / decorative mark. This is late 20th-century Chinese export porcelain — most likely 1980s–1990s — not an 18th-century Qianlong piece.Inside the lid are two factory marks that appear intentional: an orange B and a small black Chinese character (likely 林 / Lin, or workshop shorthand). A similar mark is on the base.Measures 7 × 4 × 3.5 inches. Weighs 1 lb 2 oz.Condition is honest and consistent with age and use. Gilt is rubbed on the rims and high points. The unglazed lid flange shows wear and soiling. There is an orange factory mark and some staining inside the lid. Grime in the foot ring.
