COLLECTOR & DATING NOTES:
The PLANETARIET postcard depicts the completed Tycho Brahe Planetarium, designed by Danish architect Knud Munk. The Planetarium opened to the public on November 1, 1989, establishing that this booklet could not have been produced before late 1989.
Trojaborgs Forlag was actively producing Danish tourist and topographical postcards during the early 1990s, with documented examples from 1990 and later years. Based on the Planetarium image, postcard format, photography and graphic styling, this booklet is best attributed to the early 1990s, approximately c. 1990–1995.
Trojaborgs Forlag was a recognized Danish publisher of tourist and topographical postcards. Danish archival collections also document photographer Robert Trojaborg in connection with Trojaborgs Forlag postcard photography, although this particular booklet does not appear to carry an individual photographer credit.
CONDITION:
Exceptional mint unused vintage condition.
All 24 postcards are present and remain attached in the original booklet. None have been mailed, written on, detached, bent, folded or noticeably faded. Card backs are clean and the color images remain bright and glossy.
A particularly attractive complete example for collectors of Copenhagen postcards, Denmark memorabilia, Scandinavian travel ephemera, vintage tourism material, topographical postcards, The Little Mermaid, Tivoli Gardens, Nyhavn, Danish royal history and European architecture.
