vintage 1-pound tin litho Country Club Coffee can produced by the Nashua Baking Co. Inc. of Nashua, New Hampshire.
This scarce regional New England advertising piece features the vibrant, iconic graphic illustration of the trademark country club building nestled in the trees, alongside the classic slogan: "Richer! Fresher! Roasted, Packed, Delivered Daily. Same as Country Club Bread."
Unlike common national supermarket brands, this authentic Nashua Baking Co. tin is tough to find, making it a fantastic crossover piece for both antique advertising collectors and New Hampshire local history enthusiasts.
Lid Details:
Features the original gold-toned metal slip-on lid. The top is cleanly embossed with "GROUND" and includes the early patent markings: PAT. 1493582 - 1621407.
Condition Report:
This tin is in beautiful, display-ready vintage condition. Please review the photos carefully to assess the following specific details:
• Lithography/Body: Excellent visual appeal. The teal, yellow, and black graphics remain incredibly bright, glossy, and bold. There is very minimal fading or major scratching on the primary display sides.
• Seams/Edges: Shows standard, minor vertical age wear along the back seam and light oxidation spotting near the top rim edge, consistent with an authentic tin of this age.
• Lid/Base: The original lid shows honest surface tarnishing, patination, and age-related oxidation spotting, but all embossed lettering and patent numbers remain fully legible. The structural integrity of the tin is completely intact with no major dents.
