Vintage Currier & Ives \'Getting Ice\' Lithograph Metal Serving Tray NOS For Sale

This vintage mid-century lithograph serving tray features the classic Currier & Ives winter scene titled \'Getting Ice\'. The scene depicts a quintessential American winter landscape with horse-drawn sleds and figures harvesting ice from a frozen river. The tray is constructed from durable pressed tin with a metallic gold-toned rim and a faux-wood grain border in deep mahogany red. The central artwork is rendered in soft, muted tones typical of mid-20th-century lithographic reproductions. These types of trays were highly popular mid-century household items, often used for serving or as decorative wall hangings. The underside is finished in a uniform satin gold color. It represents a nostalgic piece of Americana, perfect for collectors of Currier & Ives memorabilia or those seeking rustic cabin-style decor. The condition is excellent with only very minor shelf wear on the reverse side, preserving the vibrant details of the central illustration.
