Parting with the item shown and as found. From a long time service station owners\' estate from years ago. I have not cleaned or tried to improve. The lot includes:
1 A tie bar with D-X 25-year award emblem with a likely diamond, but a clear stone nonetheless. The emblem is marked 14k. The tie bar is marked gold filled.
Using my cheap little scale, the entire bar weighs 8.5 grams. I weighed a similar tie tac without the back clip at 3.6 grams (not included and listed separately) so I am estimated the gold filed tie bar at 5 grams and the 14k emblem at 3.5 grams. Be your own judge as to weight of each and possible melt values.
Tried to determine scrap value of gold and listed somewhere under that amount.
