Charming vintage Department 56 Mary Mary Quite Contrary blown glass Christmas ornament from the retired Glass Storybook / Stories to Remember series, beautifully crafted in Poland.
Inspired by the beloved nursery rhyme, this delightful figural ornament features Mary in a soft bonnet and a flowing green dress with lavender and pink accents. She holds a silver-toned watering can, and her skirt is decorated with delicate hand-painted floral details that reflect the whimsical garden theme of the classic rhyme.
The softly shimmering glass finish, dimensional form, and sweetly painted expression give this ornament wonderful old-world storybook charm. At approximately 6.3 inches tall, it makes a lovely focal point on a Christmas tree and a beautiful addition to a nursery-rhyme or storybook ornament collection.
This retired Department 56 design complements Victorian Christmas, Cottagecore, Grandmillennial, Storybook Christmas, and nostalgic holiday decorating.
