Vintage Durbin Durco Hog Oiler Cast Iron Double Wheel St Louis MO 33 Lbs For Sale

Pre-owned antique/vintage condition with substantial age-related surface rust, oxidation, paint loss, scratches, wear and accumulated patina throughout. Cast markings include DURCO, St. Louis, MO and casting number 4383. Both wheels are present. Please review all photos closely for condition and completeness. Sold as an antique collectible/farm implement; not tested for original livestock use.

Description

Vintage Durbin-Durco Inc. double-wheel hog oiler manufactured in St. Louis, Missouri. This heavy old agricultural implement features two large split/open cast-iron wheels mounted over the reservoir. As the hog rubbed against the wheels, they rotated through the oil reservoir and transferred oil onto the animal. Collector references describe this same Durbin-Durco design as a small two-wheel oiler with split wheels that picked up oil from the reservoir.

Marked DURCO and St. Louis, MO, with cast number 4383 visible on the interior.
