Vintage East Asian Studio Porcelain Moon Vase Signed 古月, Ink Wash, Bluish White
The vase has a classic moon-jar-inspired spherical form with a short, narrow neck and small opening. The glaze is an exceptionally pale bluish white with a glossy finish. The unglazed, neatly finished foot ring reveals a fine white porcelain body.
The underside bears a hand-painted underglaze mark reading 古月 (\"Ancient Moon\" or \"Old Moon\"). The mark appears to be an artist\'s or studio\'s name rather than a reign or factory mark. Despite research, I have not been able to identify the specific maker with certainty. The piece may be Japanese or Chinese studio porcelain, though a Korean influence is evident in the moon-jar form. So country of manufacture is uncertain; likely East Asian (possibly Chinese or Korean). (Listed as China only due to marketplace requirement.)
