Vintage Ecuadorian? Intricate Woven Basket w Lid Miniature Woven Straw Veggies:

This looks similar to items we bought in Ecuador in the early 1970’s. Very intricate straw or grass weaving of veggies. Attached sturdily. Can see the inside is a pretty light green, and judging from the band of green on the bottom piece at the top lip that is covered by the lid, I suspect the rest of the basket was once green and has faded with time and exposure to sun.
