Set of 8 Miniature Vintage Ashtrays from Berchtesgaden, Germany. Measures 2.25" x 2.25". Please see all photos.
These were made as Berchtesgaden souvenir ashtrays, likely in the 1950s–1970s.
- They were intended to showcase famous flowers of the Bavarian Alps including Edelweiss.
- The artwork is decorative rather than botanically exact, so a couple of the painted flowers don’t perfectly match the printed names (especially the Aurikel and Alpenprimel), which isn’t unusual for souvenir porcelain.
Overall, it’s a charming complete set featuring eight alpine flowers:
- Alpine Bellflower (Harebell)
