Vintage Erik Höglund Boda Amber Glass Candlesticks Pair, Swedish MCM:
$349.00

Striking pair of vintage Erik Höglund candlesticks for Boda, Sweden, featuring sculptural amber and clear glass elements combined with black-painted metal.

Dating to approximately the 1960s, these tall Scandinavian candlesticks are a wonderful example of Höglund’s distinctive mid-century design aesthetic. Each candlestick features stacked amber glass forms with visible bubbles and handmade character, accented by clear glass sections and supported by a dark metal framework with a wide circular base.

The combination of warm amber glass and black metal gives the pair a dramatic, sculptural presence. At approximately 15" tall, they make a beautiful statement on a dining table, mantel, console, or collected mid-century interior.

The underside shows a BODA mark, partially visible beneath the felt padding.

Condition
Good vintage condition with age-related wear consistent with pieces of this age. The glass displays natural bubbles and variations associated with its handmade production.

The black-painted metal shows surface wear, oxidation, areas of paint loss, and variations in the finish. Bases appear as though the black finish may have been touched up or repainted at some point in the past; the exact history of the finish is unknown. Felt pads have been applied to the undersides of the bases.

No major chips or cracks were observed in the glass. Please review all photographs closely, including the detailed images of the metal finish, glass, bases, and BODA mark, as they form an important part of the condition description.

A beautiful and substantial pair of vintage Swedish art glass candlesticks with the unmistakable sculptural character associated with Erik Höglund’s work for Boda.
