Highly desirable, original stacked leather washer handle with colored spacer discs.
Unlike modern 28 oz Estwing hammers which are only sold with synthetic blue rubber grips, this true vintage specimen hails from the historic Rockford, Illinois manufacturing era. The steel end-cap features distinct stamped lettering that reads: "ESTWING ROCKFORD, ILL. PAT'D MADE IN USA 28-OZ HEAD".
Condition Details:
• Head & Face: Smooth striking face with normal vintage wear/patina. No severe mushrooming or structurally damaging cracks. Straight rip claws are intact.
• Handle: Original factory stacked leather rings. The handle is physically tight to the full steel tang with no wobble. Clean Tight Leather. No Rot.
