You are looking at one authentic vintage Blackwing 602 pencil from the rare Faber-Castell production era (1988–1994), made in the USA.

This is NOT the modern Palomino reissue. This is New Old Stock from when Faber-Castell briefly owned the Blackwing line after acquiring Eberhard Faber.

Famous users included John Steinbeck, Chuck Jones, Truman Capote, and Leonard Bernstein — the pencil celebrated for its "Half the Pressure, Twice the Speed" smooth graphite never used

Original pink eraser intact, not hardened

Gold flat ferrule with light storage patina (see close-up photos)
