Vintage Antique Felt Cloth Clay Face Santa Claus Tree Ornament 4\"
A Small Felt Santa Clause Christmas Tree Ornament. He has a face made from a molded product. I\'m not sure if it is Plaster of Paris or a clay product. The body is very soft, with what feels like a thin metal rod in the back that the material is wrapped around. I don\'t think he has any paper filler. Feels like he is stuffed with Cotton. His Legs are felt too. He was made to hang on a tree, not stand. I bought him in 1990 at an Antique Ship in Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia. The owner told me he was from Japan and made in the 1920\'s. I think he was always a light color bur maybe it was pinker than it is now. If the information I received is correct, he is about a hundred-years-old.
He is About 4 inches High.
Very Good Vintage Condition. He is mostly complete. Missing part of his belt. You can see a lighter band where it was on his back.there is a string for hanging him, I don\'t know if that is original.
