Up for sale/sale is a collectible piece of 1980s American tactical cutlery: an original Gerber Frisco Shiv, designed by legendary knife maker Blackie Collins and manufactured in Portland, Oregon.

Features Blackie Collins’ patented sheath with integrated push-latch mechanical retention lock and boot clip.

• Blackie Collins Engineering: Purpose-built fixed blade featuring an integral double guard, symmetrical molded grip, and a secure mechanical retention system.

• Functional Lock Sheath: Includes the original matching hard polymer scabbard with rear metal boot/belt clip. The push-latch mechanism functions properly, locking the fixed blade securely in place within the sheath.

• Double-Edged Spear Point: Ground with four distinct cutting bevels and a reinforcing central spine rib.

• Lanyard Pommel: Features a hollow lanyard hole at the butt of the grip.

Condition & Modification Disclosure (Sold As-Is / Illustrated):

• Blade Finish / Bevel Modification: The blade retains its original factory black tactical coating across three of its four bevels. However, one bevel has been partially stripped/polished unevenly by a prior owner (please inspect macro photos closely). It is structurally straight and solid with full blade profile and tip intact, making it an ideal candidate to either strip completely to a full satin polish or leave as an honest vintage tactical user.

• Handle: Molded polymer handle is clean and structurally solid with no cracks or damage.

• Sheath & Retention: The sheath is in great vintage condition; the sheath lock clicks into place and releases smoothly.
