Unique vintage Holy Land religious souvenir card featuring Golgotha, Mt. of Calvary, traditionally associated with the site of the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
The fold-open card features an “Authentic Color Photograph Taken at Golgotha, Mt. of Calvary” and, most importantly, retains its original small stone attached inside, labeled:
“Stone from Mt. Calvary”
The interior includes Biblical passages from Luke 23:33 and Revelation 1:18, along with the message “Greetings from the Holy Land.”
The back explains that the card was issued in connection with The Holy Land Christian Approach Mission, Inc., whose American headquarters were in Kansas City, Missouri. According to the printed description, children from the mission's orphan home in Bethlehem collected stones from the location identified by the organization as Mt. Calvary to be included with these Holy Land souvenir cards.
