This beautiful basket was brought to me by my grandparents before I was 10, so I know it is more than 40 years old. It is woven natural-fiber exterior with a colorful embroidered woman in traditional dress and “Guatemala” stitched across the lid.
The inside is lightly padded with bright orange fabric covered by a clear protective layer. The protective layer shows some wrinkling from age, as shown in the photos.
It measures approximately 7½” × 6” × 4½”.
Thisf could be used as a sewing basket, jewelry or trinket box, or displayed as a vintage piece.
The basket is still sturdy and in very nice overall condition for its age.
