Harmony House was Sears\' coordinated home-furnishings line, and period Sears advertising documents Harmony House wool blankets finished with satin bindings. The original sewn label on this example is particularly interesting, identifying both Sears, Roebuck and Co. and Simpsons-Sears Limited, Sears\' historic Canadian operation.
Despite its age and considerable wear to the satin binding, the wool plaid itself remains the star of this blanket. The combination of color, texture and pattern gives it wonderful vintage cottage, cabin and mid-century character.

Condition: Vintage preowned condition with significant age-related wear. The pink satin binding has substantial fraying, tearing, separation and areas of fabric loss, particularly at the corners/ends, as photographed. The wool blanket itself also shows normal vintage use and age. The flaws are reflected in the price and all close-up condition photos are included. This is best appreciated as an authentic, well-loved vintage textile rather than a pristine blanket.
