This is a very unique Vintage Ifugao Knife from the Ifugao Mountain People of the Philippines. This knife has been completely forged by hand in the mountains of the Ifugao region. Such villagers tools have an outstanding quality and aside from decorative value, they have a very high usability. The blade is functional and very sharp with full tang well balanced. The material of the tang has been flattened out and bent around to form a gently flattened cylinder wrapped with woven rattan. The scabbard is made out of Narra wood and it fits the blade and can be attached to a belt. The locals call these blades \'Bolo\'. This an an authentic knife used by Ifugao tribesman and are hard to find. This would be a wonderful addition to your collection or home.
Shows age, has a nice patina, but overall in good condition.
