A gorgeous hand built, hand painted and hand-glazed extra large art pottery fruit basket by JMF (Portugal) Vimeiro Alcobaca numbered and signed by artist “Santos.” This impressive piece features the distinctive artistry of rope design/basket forming and atop you will find a diverse array of fruits in beautiful details and textures; bananas, grapes, oranges, lemons. avocado, strawberries, persimmons, figs, pomegranates, pears… The glaze is matte with a pretty luster. It is a vintage piece and has some damages to note (see last photos) one green leaf is broken off, some scuffs on glaze and a grape vine tendril has a missing section (all difficult to spot admist all here that is in such lovely condition.) Overall, it’s a beauty you’ll be proud to display. Shipped with care.
