Up for sale is a rare, vintage JSNY “Fine Ceramic Halloween Ghost Candle Holder Set” (Item # 6668) made in Taiwan. This charming holiday collectible features a glossy white ghost holding two orange jack-o’-lantern candle cups. This is a new old stock item that has never been used. The set includes the original box and both original orange taper mini-candles.
MEASUREMENTS: HEIGHT: 5 inches. LENGTH: 3.75 inches. WIDTH: 3 inches. WEIGHT: 7.3 ounces boxed (unpacked)
CONDITION NOTES: CANDLES: One candle has a small broken end piece, but remains functional with wick intact. The Box: Shows vintage wear consistent with age and remains solid and functional.
WHY The Orange Tinge: This is a standard manufacturing characteristic common to mass-produced, hand-painted imported novelty ceramics. Because the adjacent Jack-o’-lanterns are painted with a heavy orange glaze, over spraying or bleeding pigment from the factory brushwork lightly tinted the white body before it went into the kiln. It’s a production artifact inherent to how vintage novelty sets were made, not a stain from actual use or damage.
