Vintage Japanese Wooden Kokeshi Spinning Tops – Set of 2, Circa 1960s
A charming pair of vintage Japanese wooden folk art figures, believed to date from around the 1960s.
These unique pieces combine the style of traditional Japanese kokeshi dolls with spinning top-inspired bases. Each figure wears a wide, hat-like wooden hat and features a delicately painted face. The round bases are decorated with hand-painted Japanese landscape motifs, including trees and other traditional designs.
Each piece has its own distinctive artwork and colored trim, making this pair a lovely addition to a collection of Japanese folk art, vintage toys, or Asian antiques.
