Manufacturing Window: World War II era (1942–1945).
Target Market: Produced primarily for PX (Post Exchange) sales and private purchase by departing servicemen.
Key Identification Traits: Features a 4 1/4\" polished blade with a blank rear tang (no pattern number) and no blood groove to accelerate factory output.
Wartime Material Substitutes: Uses a plastic/bakelite handguard and an aluminum pommel secured by a poured-lead babbit plug to bypass strict wartime restrictions on brass and steel.

Knife :

Handle is and leather is tight, and very good condition.
Blade appears un-sharpened, but retains it\'s sharp edge.
Some minor pitting.
Blade is Approx 4-1/4
Overall Approx 8-1/4\"

Sheath:

Has some tearing on the seams. the retention strap had some nice wrapping.
