Vintage La Cotta Steakmaker hinged terracotta cooking pan, Made in Italy.
Unique double-sided design features two round unglazed terracotta cooking surfaces held in a metal frame. The hinged construction allows the two sides to close together for cooking and flipping foods. Each side measures approximately 10 inches across.
Marked “LA COTTA MADE IN ITALY” on the terracotta.
Vintage pre-owned condition with expected signs of age and previous cooking use, including discoloration, darkened areas, surface marks, and wear. One black handle has a substantial lengthwise crack, as clearly shown in the photos. Metal components show age-related wear/oxidation. Terracotta cooking surfaces appear intact with no major cracks or breaks observed.
An unusual piece of vintage Italian cookware and a nice find for collectors of terracotta, clay cookware, or vintage European kitchenware.
