Up for sale is a beautiful vintage collection of authentic French Limoges porcelain cabinet display pieces. This 5-set lot features a rich, glossy cobalt blue overglaze heavily embellished with bright gold gilt trim, making for a stunning, ready-made curio cabinet or shadowbox display. The collection includes pieces from two renowned historic Limoges porcelain makers:THE FONTANILLE & MARRAUD (F.M.) PIECES:
Four components bear the signature reddish-brown scroll mark and gold \"Label de Qualité\" hallmark:
1. Miniature Pitcher & Basin Set: Pitcher stands 1.5\" tall. Features an intricate gold floral decal. Condition: Excellent.
2. Three-Footed Tripod Trinket Box: Stands 1.25\" tall. Features a classic Fragonard Rococo courting couple scene on the lid. Condition: Excellent.
3. Ornate Miniature Cauldron: Stands 2\" tall. Features the Napoleonic Imperial \"N\" monogram, laurel wreath, and gold stars.
***CONDITION NOTE ON CAULDRON: Please note that the lid of the cauldron has a visible crack and has been permanently glued shut onto the base by a previous owner. It cannot be opened. Price has been heavily discounted to reflect this defect. THE PORCELAINE LIMOGES (PL) PIECE:
1. Footed Cabinet Vase / Ewer: Stands 5.5\" tall. Features a full-color Fragonard courting couple vignette, a beautifully sculpted scalloped rim, and an architectural pedestal foot. Bears the green interlocking \"PL\" monogram on the base. Condition: Very good vintage condition with minor high-point rub wear on the top loop of the gold handle from normal handling. Except for the noted cauldron repair, the porcelain across the rest of the collection is pristine with no chips or cracks.
