This beautiful piece features an etched/engraved and inked official Seal of the President of the United States with a facsimile signature of Lyndon B. Johnson.
Back when it was more socially acceptable to smoke, these lighters were exclusively distributed by President Johnson during his presidency from 1963-69 as personal VIP gifts to visiting dignitaries, staff, and special guests and never sold to the public.

Condition:Unused, and completely unfired condition. The flint wheel and internal assembly show no burn residue on wick or strike marks on wheel. The cotton stuffing is clean,white and unused an it appears that it has never had a flint installed. The exterior engraving remains sharp with a pristine dark blue ink fill.
