Up for sale is a stunning vintage mid-century modern sculptural leather mallard duck. Beautifully crafted from heavy, sectioned full-grain leather, this piece captures the classic folk-art silhouette of a sleeping drake mallard with its rich brown beak tucked elegantly back against its dark body panels and deep green head.

At 13 inches wide and 9 inches tall, this substantial piece serves as an exceptional statement sculpture for a fireplace hearth, desktop, study, or rustic cabin library.

CONDITION:

This vintage sculpture is in Great Condition. The leather remains incredibly supple.

* No major scuffs, cracks, or dry rot. Some indents in the leather.

* The stitching is fully intact, tight, and secure across all panel seams.

* Firm, solid internal stuffing holds its structure perfectly.

* Features small hand-tally marks on the side of one of the the white leather panels which we believe may be from its original assembly. These markings are a wonderful historical detail that leans towards cutting and hand stitched in a vintage artisan workshop.
