One of the more wonderfully unexpected pieces of vintage Nikon promotional memorabilia.
This original Nikon yellow plastic piggy bank features the Nikon name along with the company’s memorable advertising slogan:
“We take the world’s greatest pictures.”
Finished in unmistakable Nikon yellow, this little bank was produced as promotional merchandise during an era when Nikon’s branding found its way onto everything from serious professional photographic equipment to decidedly less serious objects like this.
This example has been preserved in New Old Stock / unused condition.

Long before online wish lists and “Buy Now” buttons, this little yellow pig could sit on a photographer’s desk collecting spare change—perhaps eventually contributing toward another lens, camera body, or roll of film.
Whether or not that was actually Nikon’s intention, decades later it has become something far more interesting than an ordinary coin bank.
