Description:
Charming vintage tropical palm tree accent lamp featuring a sculptural brown palm trunk, clusters of coconuts, and a full canopy of deeply textured green palm fronds.
The molded resin/composite body has an intentionally antiqued finish, with dark brown and black tones accented by verdigris-style green detailing. The trunk features an unusual raised diamond/lattice pattern, while the wide stepped base gives the little lamp a substantial architectural appearance.
A great decorative piece for tropical, coastal, tiki, Palm Beach, British Colonial, or eclectic décor. Similar Chinese-made resin tropical accent lamps appear in the early-2000s market, including a documented 2004 example, making a circa 2000s date reasonable for this piece.
The underside retains its original “MADE IN CHINA” label and felt covering. No manufacturer name is present, so I would leave the maker unbranded rather than attributing it to Papila or another company.
