This traditional tribal piece is hand-crafted from tight, coiled bush fibers and rattan, detailed with natural earth pigments in deep rust, brown, and ochre tones. It features authentic cowrie shell inserts for eyes and a distinct woven ridge nose and mouth projection.Historically, these small masks were created to dress and decorate the sacred long yams during harvest ceremonies to honor ancestral spirits.Condition: Excellent vintage condition.
