A Rare, Museum-Quality Masterpiece for the Discerning Art Glass & Natural History Collector.
Up for consideration is a exceptionally scarce, authentic vintage 1980s mixed-media keepsake box handcrafted by celebrated studio glass artisan Patricia Taylor. Because her pieces were custom, bench-crafted creations rather than factory-produced items, finding an original example on the market today is exceptionally rare. This piece features her authentic, hand-etched signature "Patricia & PT" on the mirrored backing.
The lid is a breathtaking, one-of-a-kind fiber art collage incorporating genuine, highly iridescent Morpho butterfly wings. The vibrant blue of the wings shifts brilliantly in the light, stunningly contrasted against an intricate arrangement of shimmering sequins, metallic embroidery threads, and textiles. The entire artwork is securely hermetically sandwiched between two protective panels of clear glass.

Preservation & Care
• Please Note: To protect the natural structural coloration of the delicate butterfly wings and vintage textiles, never use liquid cleaners or sprays directly on this box. Moisture can seep through microscopic seams via capillary action. Clean the metal lines using only a dry, 0000 superfine steel wool buffing method, and clean the glass panels with a microfiber cloth that has been lightly pre-dampened away from the box.
