Vintage Robt Klaas Lovebirds FAT STAG Congress Knife Solingen Germany Rare Stamp
Vintage Robert Klaas (Robt Klaas) Kissing Crane four-blade Congress pocket knife, manufactured in Solingen, Germany. Features beautifully textured, thick genuine stag handles with striking green and dark brown coloration, nickel silver bolsters, brass liners, a rectangular carbon steel shield, and four carbon steel blades. Each blade features the distinctive Love Birds tang stamp depicting two doves holding an olive branch, accompanied by ROBT KLAAS SOLINGEN GERMANY markings and a #2308 pattern number.
The green and dark brown handle coloration is descriptive and not a verified factory color designation. TThe distinctive Love Birds tang stamp is an uncommon variation associated with early Robert Klaas production, believed to predate the introduction of Kissing Crane's Roman numeral dating system.
New, never sharpened, carried, or used. All four blades exhibit excellent snap and positive half-stops, with tight blades and no wobble. Genuine stag handles are free of chips or cracks. Minor surface scratches and age-related patina may be present on the blades, bolsters, and backsprings, consistent with the knife's vintage age. Measures approximately 3 3/4" closed. Knife only; no original box or paperwork.
