Vintage SUNBEAM Vista VT-40 Radiant Control Auto Drop Works Toaster
In life there appears to be at least one constant, and that is our desire to eat and drink. And dining out isn't always an option. That , and many find a great deal of satisfaction preparing meals for themselves, friends and family. While quality cookware can be expensive; inexpensive cookware lacks the quality to give you consistent good results. Our goal is to present to you the opportunity to purchase decent cookware at a price that won't break the bank. For the most part the cookware we offer has been used. We inspect, clean it, test it if necessary and then try to give you an accurate description of the item you are considering. We'll provide you with plenty of pictures to assist in your decision, but if you still have questions... please ask.
Manufacturer: Sunbeam
Model: Vista VT-40
Style/Purpose: Toaster, Radiant
Age (If Known) : 1960's
Volume: 2 Slice (or single slice only)
Condition: Good Condition. Fully tested, automatic function works perfectly, toast to perfection. This is a well cared for unit, not abused. Great item to add to your working kitchen. Internally it will need to be cleaned up a bit.
Special Note on these older Sunbeam toasters. These Sunbeams heat up FAST and produce a high heat that is meant to toast rapidly without drying out your bread. Thus when the setting is set to "Dark"... you're bread will be black. Modern toasters heat slow, sometimes needing to drop the slice back in to get the desired result, the problem with that is that it drys out your bread and whatever enjoyment you may have been expecting is spoiled. When you toast bread with these old Sunbeams your bread remains nice and moist on the inside with a nice crisp layer of "toast" on the outside... perfect enjoyment.
