Beautiful vintage Santini Italian love birds / dove sculpture, featuring two ivory-colored doves perched together on a detailed faux tree branch.
The birds feature deeply sculpted feather detailing with raised wings and tails, while the contrasting brown branch gives the piece a very dimensional appearance. The sculpture is mounted on a polished rectangular wooden display base.
The branch is signed Santini.
Santini sculptures of this type are commonly produced from an alabaster/resin composite, sometimes described as reconstituted alabaster or marble resin.
