The figure depicts a contemplative woman in classical drapery, standing with her head resting against one hand and the opposite arm crossing her body. Beautifully modeled folds, facial features, hair and classical dress.
Substantial metal construction with an aged dark gray/bronze-toned patina. Approximately 4 lbs. Non-magnetic. Hollow construction visible from underside. No maker or foundry mark has been identified, so this piece is being offered as a vintage reproduction after the original Soares dos Reis design, not as an authenticated lifetime casting.
