Vintage Saw Tool E.E. Cunningham Bandsaw Blade Kerf Setting Tool & 1873 PatentUp for sale is an unusual tool made mostly of brass or bronze and steel, marked E.E. Cunningham and with a December 23rd, 1973 patent date. From my research, this is a bandsaw kerf setting tool. When I look up the patent in the tool patent database, it calls it an improvement in saw sets and shows it as patented by Roswell F. Cook and manufactured by E.E. Cunningham out of Worcester, Mass.
I am not 100% sure how to properly use this tool, but it seems to function correctly. It has a turn handle that you twist, and the tool moves through stages. There is a small area on the brass that has a tiny crack, see pictures. Otherwise, it is a nice and interesting old tool.
