The Schmid Kitty Cucumber Christmas Scene Display Base is a vintage collectible featuring a small multicolor porcelain and wood figurine set that includes a backdrop, base, and 4 pieces. The scene depicts a living room Christmas scene, perfect for holiday and seasonal decor. This ULTRA RARE piece from the Kitty Cucumber collection, produced in the 1980s using pottery techniques, is a charming addition to any Christmas display.
The backdrop “wall” is not the foam type, but is made out of a porcelain/resin type of material. It fits into a slot in the back portion of the base. The scene is complete with a Christmas tree, fireplace, festive dinner table, and an old time record player. Too cute!!!I planned to use this scene with some of my Enesco Calico Kittens minis, but never ended up even removing it from the box until today, for the pictures. Bought in the 80’s, this has to be ultra rare, as I’ve never seen another one. Minis from any collection would work on this gorgeous display scene, as there is nothing on it, specifying any collection.
