This beautifully crafted late 20th-century decorative piece includes its original hand-inscribed buckskin inventory tag.The genuine buckskin tag documents its origins and materials:"Hootchoo Collection, Shoshone Indians Warriors Tomahawk, Two Bear. Consist of coup feathers, Buckskin, Trade Beads, Cloth, Coyote fur."The tomahawk features an iron blade head with a classic, aged patina. The handle is fully wrapped in genuine buckskin leather and extensively adorned with natural coyote fur tufts, colored ceremonial cloth ribbons, glass trade beads, and beautifully preserved barred turkey feathers stylized as traditional coup feathers.A wonderful, highly narrative accent piece for collectors of Western Americana, rustic cabin decor, or vintage indigenous replica art.Condition:
Excellent vintage condition. The cast iron head is securely fixed to the handle with a beautifully aged, uniform rusted patina. The buckskin leather wrapping remains tight along the entire spine of the handle, showing only very light, authentic handling wear near the bottom grip. The coyote fur is thick with zero shedding, and the feathers are stiff and perfectly preserved. The original buckskin tag remains beautifully legible. From a smoke-free home collection.Dimensions:
