Up for sale is a beautiful, heavy, solid cast brass (or bronze alloy) Indian Cobra statue dating from the Mid-Century era. This is a single, solid-solid-cast piece featuring fantastic weight and highly detailed craftsmanship throughout the flared hood, facial features, and scales.
Artisan Foundry Marking: The underside of the base features a distinct, stamped alphanumeric P/1" marking. This indicates an early-batch casting from a master pattern/mold #1, ensuring crisp, sharp molded details • that are often lost in later production runs.
• Excellent Vintage Patina: This piece has NOT been polished or chemically cleaned. It retains its authentic, rich, dark-toned natural oxidation in the crevices, giving it wonderful depth, contrast, and verified vintage character.
Measures approximately 4.5 inches tall by 5 inches wide at its widest coiled base point.
In beautiful vintage condition with no cracks, breaks, or structural damage. Minor surface wear, tarnish, and signs of age as expected with authentic mid-century brassware. Please review all high-resolution photos closely as they form part of the physical description.
